Be honest. Prior to three months ago, did you ever hear of something called: “Chat GPT?”
Don’t feel bad, a little while ago, no one (outside of a few computer geeks) knew that Chat GPT existed. Now, in the space of a few months, we are warned that Chat GPT may take jobs away from lawyers.
We live in an extraordinary time of change and innovation. We also live in a time of pandemic, rampant inflation, bank failures, a ground war in Europe and saber rattling in the South China
compete agreements; and modern labor organizing under the NLRB. All businesses must understand these trends, new regulations, and the resources available to successfully respond to same.
Another employment highlight is the discussion of strength-based leadership for high performance
in legal departments and law firms to overcome disengaged employees and “quiet quitting.” Other topics will include a review of Supreme Court decisions affecting the corporate world, as well as a look forward to cases on the Court’s 2024 docket which will affect the business world. We will also discuss new developments in class actiones in both the United States and Europe as well as important updates on multi-district litigation.
Other topics will include: the pros and cons of Chat GPT; the explosion of digital health with the attendant privacy concerns; a discussion on diversity initiatives with a particular focus on why it works and benefits all concerned; and navigating in a world of ESG initiatives. We will also talk about doing business beyond U.S. borders. How can business leaders succeed despite the upheaval caused by supply chain disruptions, new data regulations, and economic uncertainty caused by inflation and tumult in the financial system? Finally, we’ll take a critical look at both civil and potential criminal liability arising from the actions of rogue employees.
The CCS is also a great opportunity to get to know fellow FDCC members and guests in a relaxed and collegial atmosphere. We invite you to attend the Symposium. Mark the dates now - October 22 through October 24. You will want to be in Philadelphia for this Symposium.

Sea. The attorneys who lead and advise businesses, large and small, must be nimble and stay up to the minute on the latest trends and developments in many fields of law. During these tumultuous times, there is simply no other way to succeed.
This year’s Corporate Counsel Symposium is entitled “The Leadership In We.” It will be held in Philadelphia on October 22 through October 24, 2023. The Symposium will focus on building our individual strength and leadership skills to not only survive but to thrive amidst the challenges and turmoil facing companies throughout the world.
If you are an in-house corporate attorney or risk manager, you will find the discussions helpful and intriguing. If you are outside counsel, you will develop keen insights into what your clients are thinking, as well as the hurdles they face.
Highlighting the Symposium will be blockbuster employment panels discussing: independent contractors and FSLA enforcement by the current administration; mass layoffs; wage transparency laws; the Federal Trade Commission’s attack on non-
