EVALUATION
ON AREAS OF INVESTIGAION
- Materials: The materials I will be using will have to be light weight durable and waterproof, so that no mold is formed also it will be quick dry so that they can easily dry within the sun while patrolling.
- Current designs: The original design is extremely inefficient made from cotton drill fabric which is slow to dry.
- Attachments: I will be adding attachments to my design to help remind people of the strength of the sun and help the lifesavers do their job. I need to investigate ways to measure the UV light, to help educate the patrolling members.
- Target market: My target market will be SLSC patrolling members and nippers therefore I will need to mix modern styles and materials as well as respecting the tradition and heritage of the existing cap design.
Price: The price of my cap will have to be inexpensive to be accessible to families budgets.
- Problem solving: The problem I am solving is skin protection, within Australia the sun is much stronger, as there is a huge hole in the atmosphere because of global warming and all of the toxic chemicals we used to burn 30 years ago.
