 Bendat Basketball Centre was bursting at the seams in 2023, with over half a million people through it’s doors over the 12 months.
2023 saw the end of the Perth Lynx 22/23 season, which included four home games and a Semi-Final game as well as the start of a busy 23/24 Perth Lynx season, with the first eight home games of the season taking place during the last two months of the year.
The NBL1 West Women’s and Men’s Grand Finals were both sold out for the first time in history.
The 2023 Fuel to Go and Play BWA Country Championships were held over five weekends in February and March. Bendat Basketball Centre also hosted the Wheelchair State Basketball League
season during the months of February and March with the Grand Final held in March. Both the World Transplant Games and the Australian Men’s and Mixed Association Netball National Championships were held in April.
The 2023 Fuel to Go and Play BWA State Championships had to be extended to five weekends for the first time ever to meet the demand of a record amount of registrations, taking place in November and December.
The doors of Bendat were closed only 3 days throughout the year in order to accommodate these events whilst continuing to meet the demand of community basketball.
Overall, the venue experienced a strong 93.5% customer satisfaction rate.
