IMAGINE officially had its grand re-opening in September, and it’s time to get to shopping! With its new location at 2 Cen- tral Street in Bristol, this quaint red building with its stylish green roof is open six days a week from 10-6. IMAGINE is an inde- pendently owned business that sells quality women’s clothing and jewelry. The jewelry is lead and nickel-free, and the clothes are primarily made in the USA or Canada and are fair trade or women’s cooperative, and cus- tomers can wash it all!
Nancy Spears, the owner of IMAGINE, tells me that they have been in business for five years, officially on October 1st, 2021. “Bristol didn’t have a wom- en’s clothing business around here. I was retired for all of for- ty-two days, and I was just bored,” Spears tells me. She went on to talk about how she got into run- ning a business. “I always liked the appeal of running my own business and doing things the way I wanted them to do.” Spears got

the inspiration of running a wom- en’s clothing store from managing a friend’s small lady’s boutique up in Meredith before she retired.
The Newfound Area has been an excellent community for IMAGINE, and Spears had noth- ing but good things to say about it. “I wouldn’t have been able to make this big move without the support of the community. With

The independent companies truly demonstrate the community feel of the Newfound Area with their outstanding sup- port of the other businesses in the area.
Before the pandemic hit, Nancy tells me that they used to do fashion shows every six months for charity. “I believe in giving back to the community, and we’re hoping to start these shows back up soon when things are safe,” Spears tells me. IMAGINE’s motto is “Unique clothing, jew- elry, and accessories for women who march to the beat of her own drum.” And that is precisely the energy the clients feel when they walk into this welcoming lit- tle store, so if you haven’t already, stop by IMAGINE and find something that makes you look fabulous!
