I was tired of this Covid, been in the house staying strong Like a worn out mask, I’ve been wearing too long
So while I snacked on my last Shacketts' donut,
I read the Newfound Lake Life with crumbs in my bed And in the personal columns, there was this letter I read
“If you like vintage boats, and getting burnt by the sun
If you’re into paddleboarding and love having fun
If you like snuggling up to watch the sunset with a mix tape Then I’m the love that you’ve looked for,
write to me and escape”
I didn’t think of the Covid, I know that sounds kind of mean But me and this social distancing, had fallen into
the same old dull routine
So I wrote to Newfound Lake Life, took out a personal ad And though I’m nobody’s poet, I thought it wasn’t half bad
“Yes, I like Newfound Lake views, and snowmobiling too I’m into ice fishing and have a bobhouse with a view,
I like kayaking and loons on the lake
I’m into seafood at The Big Catch, I also like steak.
