 All-in webinar on third party reproduction
The Australian and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors’ Association (ANZICA) is pleased to present the first in a series of training webinars for all FSANZ members covering key aspects of third-party reproduction.
The first webinar will be presented on Saturday 3 December 2022 with a focus on donor legislation in Australia and NZ.
Access times are as follows – WA 10.00am, Queensland noon, SA 12.30pm, NSW and Victoria 1.00pm and NZ 3.00pm.
Registration fees are $55 including GST for ANZICA members and $110 for general FSANZ members.
ANZICA Chair, Rebecca Kerner, said the opening webinar would provide:
• essential education for provisional ANZICA members;
• an update in skills and knowledge for full ANZICA members;
• critical guidelines for overseas ANZICA members providing counselling to international donors; and
• a valuable extension of information for other FSANZ members, for example donor coordinators, reproductive specialists, nurse managers and clinic staff.
The two-hour webinar will explore key principles encompassed in donor legislation and how they impact on donor recipients and children, as well as donors themselves.
“It will also address the complexity of navigating varying donor laws between States and countries, and what this means for health professionals guiding patients through different jurisdictions,” Rebecca explained.
“We are excited to present the webinar to ANZICA members and others within the FSANZ membership. The webinar program overall aims to enhance the professional care provided to all those accessing donor conception to help create their families.”
