Surgery remains an important solution in the evolving trends of infertility treatment
By Professors Maria Antonia Habana and Huang Xiao-Wu and Associate Professor Herbert Situmorang
The Reproductive Surgery Special Interest Group was created to support ASPIRE members by updating knowledge and skills in this field of surgery.
We recognise evolving trends in fertility management, however reproductive surgery with its proper indication, timing, and execution remains an important solution to many conditions related to infertility.
We accomplished two important events in the past year. A pre-Congress course entitled Value of Reproductive Surgery: State of the Art was held in April and recently we presented a webinar in collaboration with the Endometriosis SIG on What Is the Best Combination of Surgery and ART in Endometriosis-Related Infertility Treatment?
These two scientific events presented updates on reproductive surgery modality in intrauterine adhesion,
myoma and adenomyosis, endometrioma, tubal surgery, adhesion prevention, and lastly on how to combine surgery and IVF in endometriosis-related infertility cases.
Both events were recorded, and they are readily accessible in the ASPIRE education portal. In this portal, members can also watch our webinars on office hysteroscopy and Mullerian anomalies.
We invite all the ASPIRE members to visit the site and enjoy the videos.
