Membership growth
ASPIRE launched its fifth membership drive on 5 January this year. Our Secretariat reports that since then we have welcomed 551 new members including 194 under the Nurses/Registered Midwives/Counsellors category, and 113 new members who applied under the Embryologists/Medical Technicians category.
We encourage non-members to leverage the special incentive opportunity to join the ASPIRE community. For sign-ups between January and June 2023, new members can opt into a lucky draw from which three winners – a clinician, an embryologist and a nurse/midwife/ counsellor – will be selected to win a complimentary registration ticket worth US$550 to the ASPIRE 2023 Congress in Adelaide.
For an application to be considered valid for the lucky draw, applicants must complete all required information on the membership form and have successfully made payment before 30 June 2023 11.59pm GMT+8.
SIG Reports
The Special Interest Group reports in our newsletter are key information sharing components and I am particularly pleased in the early progress of the Reproductive Nurses SIG.
Continuing efforts to obtain PubMed listing for Fertility & Reproduction as it accepts 100th paper for publication
I also highlight comments from Professor Gab-Kovacs, Editor-in-Chief of Fertility and Reproduction, who reports that our journal has accepted the 100th paper for publication. Meanwhile, we continue efforts to obtain PubMed listing to elevate the status of the F&R on the world stage.
Translation services
As reported in the last edition of the newsletter, the ASPIRE Board is working with the SIGs and other groups on state-of-the-art language translation initiatives to improve communication among members from diverse countries in our region.
I hope to be able to report on our progress in this area at the ASPIRE Congress in Adelaide. See you there.
