Cattlebarons win two one-run games

Alvinston Jr. Aces remain perfect at home with weekend wins
The friendly con nes of Alvinston remain extremely friendly for the Junior Aces as they improved to a perfect 4-0 at home with an 8-0 win over Dutton in Southwest Middlesex Fastball League action on Sunday night.
They were Brandon Cs, co-owned by Janice Annett of Wyoming, Today’s Sports, owned by Watford’s JA Pedden and Plympton-Wyoming’s Little Wheelhouse, owned by Gary Bryce.
Brodie Boyce went the distance for the  ve-inning victory, surrendering only one hit and striking out 10. He also helped his own cause with a two- run homer and three RBI.
Xaviar Herrick had a pair of RBI, while Kole Keating and Devin Triest had the others to round out the scoring for the Aces.
Carter Dolbear also had a solo shot for Alvinston.
The juniors, now 5-4 overall, will host Chippewa this Sunday night in Alvinston at 7 pm.
Oil Springs horse makes it three straight wins at Dresden Raceway
Evil Cam Evil, co-owned by Dennis and Doug Belan of Oil Springs and Dresden’s Brian Fitzgerald made it three wins in as many weeks with

The Storm fought back with two runs in the bottom of the eighth, but Degraw was able to shut the door
for the complete game victory. He scattered six hits and struck out seven.
Aaron Stocking and Bryan Johnson tied the game with RBI hits in the sixth and seventh innings respectively.
Alvinston has put up 42 runs over the  ve-game streak.
