The evolution of Minesoft’s alerting tools
developed after receiving the same feedback time and again from patent legal professionals- that regular manual checks of patent registers to view the status of patent applications or publications were difficult and time-consuming. This led to us developing our first automated tracking product, PatentTracker. This completely automated the process, checking patent registers and sending alerts by email when any status changes were detected. Minesoft’s suite of alerting services were first
targeted monitoring of risks and opportunities as applications progress through national offices. Since its launch, we have started receiving data directly from more and more patent offices, now including INPADOC, JPO, DPMA, INPI, USPTO, SIPO, INPI-BR, KIPO and OEPM.
So, finally building on the popularity of these alerting services, we launched PAIR alerts back in 2019. These super cost-effective alerts are revolutionising the monitoring of US patent data, making it far more efficient than ever before. The alerts include direct links to the complete file history (also including EP, WO, US, KR, CN, JP file histories!) transaction history and continuity data whilst bypassing the frustrating USPTO captcha. We have also integrated our ground-breaking Family Tree tool to visualise and help understand the relationship between patents in the same family. Imagine a birds- eye view of a patent family at any level of complexity, in the style of a genealogy tree,
