Pei-Shih TU (b. 1981) was born in Miaoli, Taiwan. She received her MFA from Goldsmiths, University of London in 2007, and now lives and works in Hsinchu. Tu's work centers on animation. Her recent work explores the relationship between image and narrative as well as the visual meaning of animation. Her works have been recognized by art awards in Taiwan and abroad, including a grant for Taiwanese artists by Asian Cultural Council (ACC) in 2009, a nomination for BACC Award for Contemporary Art in 2012, and Honorable Mention in Taipei Arts Award in 2016.
