Perforation in proximal part of splint increases wearing com- fort, and solid area at wrist helps maintain strength of splint where it is most needed. Helpful Hint - Part 4
• Cutting a pattern from Rolyan splint material? Initially, only par- tially heat the material, just enough to make it easier to cut, but not so much that it drapes and becomes unmanageable in your hand.
• When using highly conformable materials such as Polyform, Polyflex II, Tailorsplint and CuraDrape, keep your hands moving, using your palm and finger pads to gently stroke the material into the desired shape.
