5.07 monofilament is primarily indi-
cated for testing the feet of diabetic
patients for loss of protective sensation
associated with peripheral neuropathy.
Patients who are unable to feel the
pressure of the applied 5.07 filament
should be considered at risk of devel-
oping pressure or neuropathic ulcers
and should be referred to a specialist
for further assessment. Never use on
ulcerated or necrotic tissue. Clean with an alcohol swab between patients. Do not autoclave. Store at room temperature.
