Contracture Management ComfyTM Hand/Wrist Splints
ComfyTM Deviation Orthoses. Featuring a unique patented spine that allows for easy adjustment and readjustment of the wrist, fingers and forearm in flexion and extension. Swivel pivot at the wrist (which locks into place using included hex wrench) allows for accommodation of ulnar or radial deviation. The headliner cover is super soft, antimicrobial, removable, and helps prevent skin breakdown. Machine wash- able. Includes laundry bag. Latex free.
ComfyTM Deviation Finger Extender Orthosis. For severely contracted hand and wrists. Includes two optional finger foam rolls to gradually increase finger extension. Used without hand-rolls on tightly contracted fingers to keep fin- gers from palm. Ambidextrous.
ComfyTM Deviation Rest Hand Orthosis. Appropriate for neuromuscular deformities or flaccid, weak or spastic hand conditions. Soft, five strap closures to hand, wrist, fingers and thumb maintains the hand in a resting position.
ComfyTM Deviation Hand Thumb Orthosis. Provides support to the thumb without stressing the web space between the index finger and the thumb (thenar eminence). The splint is excellent for use on pa-
tients with tightly adducted thumbs. Ambidextrous: simply bend thumb tab out of the way on the side that does not need the orthosis.
ComfyTM Deviation Opposition Hand Orthosis. The additional thumb support positions the thumb and index finger securely in opposi- tion for thumb abduction. Thumb enclosure allows for MCP, PIP and DIP joint positioning. The “Functional C” frame can be adjusted and read- justed as needed.
ComfyTM Deviation Hand Orthosis. Excellent for patients with ulnar or radial drift. With all of the attributes of the traditional Comfy Splints, plus the unique, below-the-wrist swivel that allows for lateral and medial positioning of the wrist. Progressively change positions and wrist deviation by adjusting the internal frame and locking the frame’s swivel. Can be used for patients with arthritis, stroke complica- tions and upper extremity weakness. Terrycloth cover. Latex free.
ComfyTM Rest Hand Orthosis. Supports the weak or deformed hand with ultra-com- fort, making this an ideal resting splint. Super soft and removable navy headliner cover is machine washable and treated with antimicrobial barrier for skin breakdown preven- tion. Like all ComfySplints, the patented reinforced spine can bend and adjust as needed making this pre-fabricated splint customizable and adaptable to a variety of patient- specific needs. Appropriate for neuromuscular deformities or flaccid, weak or spastic hand conditions. The five point strap closures allow for an ideal fit and are soft enough to accommodate for fluctuations due to edema. Includes laundry bag. Latex free.
