Foot Drop & Heel Protection Contracture Management
Heelift® AFO. Combines the unparalleled heel suspension of the
original Heelift® Boot with an ankle-foot-orthosis design. Now patients
can enjoy greater mobility and foot-drop protection without sacrificing
quality heel pressure relief. A polypropylene AFO insert provides at-rest
dynamic foot drop protection. Patients can also plantar flex the foot without pushing out of the pressure-free heel space. A tricot-covered stiffener on the back of the boot allows friction-free movement in bed. A non-skid sole provides greater stability when standing or walking. Latex free.
Heelift® Glide. Gives you the suspended heel offloading you have come to
expect from the Heelift, plus improvements based on years of feedback from cli-
nicians and patients. Soft inner material cradles the calf, redistributing pressure
over a wider area and providing interior grip. Its 40 percent lighter, cooler and
less bulky than a pillow-style boot. Fabric covering, tricot backing and innovative
stitching ensure there are no rough, hard or sharp edges that can damage skin.
Added forefoot strap keeps boot in place and helps support the forefoot. Soft, easy-on easy-off closure straps. Includes affixed elevation pad to lift the leg and suspend the heel, promoting the ideal environ- ment for an ulcer to heal. The heel suspension opening allows for visual inspections. Ventilation holes provide additional air circulation. Durable exterior lets the patients leg glide easily across the sheets.

then can be used as the Heelift Boot above. It can withstand up to 10 pounds of straight skin traction to stabilize pre-surgical femur fractures. This smooth foam boot helps prevent heel and lateral malleolar ulcers, avert peroneal nerve pressure injury to the fibular head, and provide forefoot support to avoid heel cord contracture. Customizable boot with fixed elevation pad. Spare pad with adhesive backing for atypical problems. VELCRO® Brand fastener side trac- tion straps. Includes removable bar and rope to attach to traction unit. This is an accessory to your existing traction unit, does not include Traction Unit. Latex free.
