FOREVER YOUNG

T

his edition focuses on our young professionals. While I no longer fall in the
category of being a one, I uncovered some interesting research in my at-

tempt to understand how the business community quantiies what a young

professional is in today’s world.
The term was originally—and is still used to some degree—to narrowly

refer to recent graduates serving in professional careers. According to Ask.
com, traits of a young professional can be viewed as having an “obsession with success”

and “plagued with loneliness.” Young professionals are viewed as being strongly at-
tached to technology and media and are targeted by the producers of those products.

These individuals work with a non-proit organization

throughout the year and they are engaged in what is go-

ing on in our business community. I’ve been impressed

sional in their organization to join the group.
Our young professionals are outstanding and they are the next generation of leaders for our Chamber

and for the general business community. Please reach out to them to lend your experience and exper-
tise because we all need to take an active interest in the future of the region’s economy.

Speaking of the future, don’t forget to save the date for the annual Golf and Tennis Classic on Mon-
day, July 21. Tennis will take place at Trenton Country Club and both the golf tournament and the

awards dinner will be held at Mercer Oaks Golf Course.

Best,
