THE IMPORTANCE OF SCHOOL FACILITIES IN IMPROVING STUDENT OUTCOMES Amindfully built campus makes a lot of di erence in students’ creativity and collaborative e orts. Classrooms, creative spaces and other facilities should provide the right atmosphere and resources for students to access easily. 1)Acoustics/noise School buildings that can bu er outside noise can boost student performance inside the classroom. 2)Air quality Bacteria, viruses and allergens that contribute to childhood diseases are commonly found in schools with poor ventilation systems. 3)Lighting Research shows natural lighting boosts the morale of teachers and students and improves test scores. 4)Temperature Temperature needs to be neither too cold or too warm to optimise concentration level. 5)Space Overcrowded classrooms and schools have consistently been linked to increased levels of aggression in students. 34 Signi cance of Facilities
