A piece of advice she received when she was sitting in a fellow racer’s junior dragster is “If you are going to cry at the race track, do it in the trail- er with the doors closed, because there will always be someone walking past or photos being taken, and you don’t want to see pictures like that.” Her fa- vorite quote is “Always trust your first instincts.”
As a little girl she played more with cars than dolls. Her favorite TV show is Brooklyn 99. Her favorite hol- iday is Easter, because that was when she received her junior dragster license. Something most people don’t know about her is that she really enjoys pho- tography.
Tegan works in retail as a ca- shier and also likes tidying up the shop. Most of her co-workers don’t know that she races, however the few that do find it hard to believe that a girl does a form of motorsports and they are mes- merized by it.
Tegan is a junior in high school in the northern suburbs of Adelaide. When her classmates first found out that she races, they were surprised and had many questions about it, like how did she get into it, and what is it like? The biggest question she gets is if she races against boys, and when she says “yes” they are shocked and almost fall off their seats!
Tegan’s dream career would be along the lines of drag racing in Amer- ica, whether it’s driving for someone or doing advertisements for a team. How- ever she is realistically leaning towards makeup and beauty careers in Australia.
If they made a movie of her life, “It probably sounds selfish but I would play myself in a movie only because no one else can star as me better than I can! :)”
Her favorite race car drivers are Leah Pritchett and Courtney Force.
