COLLABORATION WITH MG CONVENTIONS AND EVENTS SPECIALISTS SDN. BHD.
JADE is an umbrella organisation of more than 300 student-run businesses across 250 universities in 14 European countries. Following the motto "learning-by-doing", our students bridge the gap between academia and real business world. By running non-profit Small and Medium Enterprises and being social entrepreneurs, the students turn over 13,7 million euro per year and involve more than 26,000 peers, thus leaving a significant impact on the local and national business world.
In 2017, the Junior Enterprise Movement celebrated 50 years since the creation of the first Junior Enterprise in France. Since then, the European Movement has been actively supporting the creation of new Junior Enterprises not only in Europe, but in other continents as well. JADE was one of the founder members of the Junior Enterprise Global Council, where we work together with other six countries in international matters. One of our pillars is Enlargement to new countries, much more focused in bringing this development opportunity to student in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
One of our best examples is the Southeast Asia region, we are working together with MG Conventions and Events Specialists Sdn. Bhd. based in 14, Persiaran Damansara Endah, 50490, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We are collaborating for The Hera International Film Festival (HIFF), which is the platform for the Creative Cinema Collective (CCC), under the direction of internationally renowned film professor, Project Hollywood Accessible Creator and leader in digital media, Christopher Coppola. The CCC aims to bring the job seekers and job creators together to develop new techniques in film, partnerships and growth through Junior Enterprises. The CCC will in invest in opportunities for youth to increase their entrepreneurial spirit, talent, creativity and employability.
The Junior Enterprise Movement around the world is growing at a fast pace, we are more than 40 countries. Nowadays, we are focused in the Southeast Asia region, where we see huge opportunities to empower university students and boost their careers through the Junior Enterprise experience, at the same time we support the development of SME’s of the region with the services provided.
We appreciate the support given to MG Conventions and Events Specialists Sdn. Bhd. In order to have a successful project at HIFF we will need the support of governments, organizations, universities and companies. Together we lift up our capabilities to cause a positive effect in our actions.
