What are some new bridal makeup trends that you’ve been noticing?
I’ve noticed recently that many brides are leaning towards champagne and rosy toned eye makeup. Also, many brides are sticking to a skincare routine before their big day, to ensure they have fresh, glowing skin on the day of their wedding. I personally recommend microdermabrasion and hydra-facials prior to tying the knot.
What are some of your all-time favorite bridal makeup trends?
Wispy and voluminous eyelashes! False lashes enhance your overall look and help ensure your eyes pop in photos.
Do you recommend that brides do a trial run for their makeup before their big day?
Yes! I always recommend that brides do a trial run with their makeup artist before their wedding day. Knowing exactly how your look will turn out helps to make the getting ready process stress-free. If you’re having your makeup done by a local artist, schedule a trial run a couple months before your wedding.

WHERE IT ALL STARTED
This love story is a personal favourite with the Wedding Vacations by Sunwing team, as Tennille is one-half of our favourite photo team Flo Foto whose work has graced the pages of our magazine many times.
Both agree that they clicked instantly and thought about marriage early-on but without an immediate timeline in mind. After Tennille had made the decision to move back to Sudbury, Michael knew he was going to pop the question in the near future.
Wedding
Tennille and Michael, both of Sudbury Ontario, met at a local bar named Laughing Buddah. The two were enjoying a night out on the town with their friends and Michael persistently keep inviting Tennille to come join his group at their table. The two groups got to know each other over beers and chatting while Michael and Tennille started hitting it off instantly. They couldn’t wait to see each other again and made dinner date plans for the next day. As it happens with many love stories, this one began with a bit of a bump in the road because Tennille was about to move to Toronto in a couple weeks.
One morning before the pair were planning to visit his family, and Mike continued to pester Tennille to get ready and out of their bedroom. After leaving the room to start getting ready, she jumped back into bed and was startled when Mike dropped a surprising bombshell “Tenille...I think we should stop being boyfriend and girlfriend.” While Tenille’s head began to spin with thoughts of an impending break-up she looked over to see Mike with an engagement ring.
