THE COMPANY
KEVIN RICE (Playwright) is a founding member of the Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater and the author of 12 plays including The Pickleball Wars, Hopper's Ghosts, Gloves Off: Nabokov vs. Wilson, and Under The Radar. NYTheater.com named him one of twenty Theater Persons of the Year in 2004 for the off-off Broadway production of his political satire, Amerikus Rex. In Russia he has directed Sakha and Russian language productions of two plays, Oblomov at the Sakha National Theater and Siberian Summer at the Russian Dramatic Theater in Yakutsk. Hoppe's 1992 play, Jackie: An American Life at the Hasty Pudding Theater in Cambridge. Kevin serves as Executive Director of Payomet Performing Arts Center in Truro. He can often be found under the big top there or at WHAT's outdoor stage and home to Payomet's original cirque theater show this summer, What's The Buzz. A lifelong advocate of affordable housing, he lives in Wellfleet with his wife, Marla and his dog, Noce.

He began his career in New York with La MaMaʼs Ellen Stewart and assistant to Joe Chaikin on Sam Shepardʼs When the World Was Green for the 1996 Cultural Olympiad. He developed the movement curriculum at AMDA and was an ensemble member at The Neighborhood on Theater Row, while working at The Bitter End and CBGBʼs. Madness, and Summer, 1976 as a stage management intern last summer. Originally from Chicago, she just graduated from Tulane University, earning a BA in Communication and Theatre with a minor in Political Science. As an undergraduate, she pursued independent research on identity-conscious casting, supported new works dramaturgically, and worked as a tour guide and research assistant.
