SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION GRANT
The System Administration Grant is targeted funding to cover governance (board of trustees) and school authority central administration costs. The amount will be fixed over the next three school years.
Each school authority is provided with an authority- specific targeted grant amount ranging from 3.15% to 4.95% of total operating expenditures, based on August 31, 2019 Audited Financial Statements. This percentage varies based on WMA enrollment in recognition of the economies of scale in system administration costs for larger jurisdictions.
Amounts can be transferred from the System Administration Grant to other grants, but school authorities may not spend funds from other grants on system administration.
