ICT Tracking and Planning Tools
At the beginning of the 2003-04 school year the ICT Support Teachers were given the task to develop tools that completed the following tasks:
•Foster ICT project sharing.
•Develop and maintain school based scope and sequence plans.
•Track ICT project completion by school, teacher, subject and grade levels. •Develop consistent lesson planning, unit planning and evaluation schemes.
These tools have been developed with the district Campus Crossing web site. The goal is to have a working interface that all staff can access in the 2004-2005 school year. With the recent announcement of the discontinuing of the Telus Project funding struc- ture it has become even more important for Lakeland Catholic to develop an internal infrastructure that can continue to support further ICT project development within the district. The overall goal for this project is to develop a web based interface that assists schools in developing and maintaining the school based ICT scope and sequence.
Site Access
All staff will have access to the ICT posted resources through a user login form. This level of security provides the ability to selectively share resources with other Internet users. Certain district resources will only be able to be accessed by district staff with the appropriate access privileges.
Site Appearance
The site is still under construction and the plan is to have the site appearance completed by September 2004. Once a staff member is logged into the system they will have ac- cess to edit and view their currently posted projects. All other users will only be able to view ICT projects that a given teacher is willing to share.
The above example shows three sample project files that can be accessed. Clicking on the hyperlink will take the user into the posted ICT project.
