Throughout the book, we use a coaching approach, posing questions to take the reader from passive reading to active learning through individual and collaborative reflection, evaluation, innovation, and strategic visioning and planning. We will also challenge readers to seek peer leadershift mentors and coaches should they want to continue developing beyond what they learn in this book.
Each chapter of this book will begin with a quote and brief description that captures its purpose. We will define the end in mind, and clearly articulate the objectives that we strive to achieve. We will integrate the application of a range of tools, including the administration of our proprietary web-based organizational diagnostic assessment instrument (SB21 Pulse) and aligned interactive activities, to allow readers to advance and effectively monitor their own professional and organizational development. We will provide a collection of aligned and timely supporting resources from our vast and ever-expanding SB21 Digital Library. All of this ultimately supports the development of a shared “2020 Vision” and strategic action plan that will guide your Leadershift team on the path towards the realization of your vision for modern teaching, learning, and assessment.
