2. CURRENT DISTRICT STATUS: WHERE WE ARE NOW
The District has a history of strong support for Technology and a number of technology advances and successes. Even after a number of years of District support and a number of significant achievements, much is yet to be done.
2.1 Schools and District Technology Achievements
When asked this question, “What are your school’s best educational technology successes, achievements and/or accomplishments?” The answers and their frequency are indicated by the number of schools reporting a similar answer. See the document, Summary of School and Dis- trict Interviews and Comments, October 1999 for additional information.
2.1.1 General Achievements
•Elementary schools and the Dr. Bernard Brosseau Middle School

•The school has provided access to technological tools that the teachers may use to integrate mul- timedia in their lessons. We have available:

•a digital camera for students and teachers use.
•audio-visual equipment (TV, VCR and Video Camera)
•a new G3 Power Mac will have video capture card.
•Internet access in all classrooms.
•Network access to assist file transfers.
•Use of IPP, MEP on computer.
•High schools

•Science workshop centres (4 in labs); and
•The Chem/Physics areas are using Science Workshop
•Projection Units and Powerpoint;
•Use of Proximas; and
•Math is using the projection units and Powerpoint.
