1. Enhance and Improve Curriculum and Instruction
Building on the District experience, there is a need to develop and implement strategies and actions to have teachers use information and communication technologies as an integral component of the instructional program in appropriate and meaningful ways to enhance and improve instruction.

Provide opportunities for teachers to exchange ideas related to using and integrating information and communication technology (ICT) in the classroom.

Note: Alberta Education has developed the ICT program with student outcomes for Grades 3, 6, 9, 12. Teachers need a k-12 scope and sequence to assist them in implementation of the program at their grade level. Alberta Education has contracted a number of school jurisdictions to develop sample k-12 outcome scope and sequences for use by all school jurisdictions. These are to be done by June 2000.
