CELEBRATED ACTOR RAY LIOTTA COMES TO BRAMAN.
By Robin Hodes
You know him from his memorable portrayal of notorious gangster Henry
Hill in the 1990 blockbuster lm Good Fellas. Clearly, the famous star of the silver screen could have had any automobile
he wanted, and visited any dealership to purchase it, but it’s Braman he chose to deliver the vehicle of his desire. And like any other customer who walks through our doors, he received the VIP treatment, and enjoyed the World-Class Experience for which Braman is renowned.
While he awaited delivery of his 2017 Bentley GT V8, in the gorgeous shade of “moonbeam,” we got the chance to chat with Liotta and get to know him on a personal level, just as we do with all our clients.
Originally hailing from Union, New Jersey, Liotta now permanently resides in Califor- nia’s Paci c Palisades, but has visited fam- ily in Palm Beach for years where his sister currently lives, as did his father when he was alive. Liotta’s daughter is now 19, yet he recalls fond memories of taking her to Disney World since she was 4 years old. To this day, Liotta still spends a week and a half here for the holidays.
A drama major at the University of Miami, Liotta specialized in musicals, playing
the lead role in such classics as West
Side Story and Oklahoma, but it was his
“It’s beautiful. I fell in love with it. It drives smoothly, has a lot of ‘pick up and go’ and a fantastic sound system.” A perfect choice for this music lover and his Sinatra favorites.
teacher, the late Robert “Buckets” Lowery, that fueled his inner re for acting. Even- tually moving on to movies, he’s had the privilege of working alongside some of his heroes—among them Robert DeNiro, Gene Hackman, Robert Duvall, and Vanes- sa Redgrave.
On the small screen, Liotta now stars
in Shades of Blue as Lieutenant Matt Wozniak, the corrupt commander of the 64th Precinct's Street Crimes detective squad
“If you build it, he will come.”The unfor-
gettable quote was uttered by Liotta in his depiction of Shoeless Joe Jackson in the beloved motion picture Field of Dreams.
Well, Bentley built the 2017 Bentley GT V8, and Liotta came. It’s a far cry from his rst car, an orange Mercury Cyclone passed down from his father.
Braman sta er DeVaughn Pickens gen- erously o ered the actor to drive the Bentley while in town, and he was quickly enamored. “It’s just beautiful. I fell in love with it,” says Liotta. “It drives smoothly, has a lot of ‘pick up and go,’ and a fantas- tic sound system.” A perfect choice for this music lover, who enjoys driving and listening to music from the 70’s, and of course...Sinatra.
Liotta was instantly impressed by how kind, helpful, and knowledgeable the team was. “I’ve bought cars where they sell them, but don’t really know what
the car’s about” he says. Not the case
at Braman, where a thorough tutorial, every question answered, and exceeding expectations are all part of the purchasing process.
Liotta, the voice‐over actor for the popular video game Grand Theft Auto, vows to be protective of his new Bentley, but what would he do if heaven forbid it got robbed? “I’d just return to Braman to replace it,”he states.
