• The CRE assign all required training to RA staff; other departments will assign as per their designated process.
• Required training is assigned within Cornerstone, the electronic learning management system. Cornerstone is available on the institution’s intranet homepage.
• Completion of these modules will be required upon Performance Site Review by the Quality Specialists of Research Administration. Staff who has not previously completed these modules either in the learning management system or on paper will be instructed to self-register and complete the modules.
• Additional trainings may be required by Children’s Health and non- Children’s Health entities depending on job role, including but not limited to: CITI Program modules (as required by the UTSW Institutional Review Board (IRB)); electronic Conflict of Interest statement in the e- IRB system; IATA Shipping of Infectious Substances; e-IRB and Velos systems and Reveal Study Manager training; and/or Basic Life Support (PALS) or CPR training
D. Didactic Virtual Based Research Classes for Research Administration Staff
• All Research Administration staff will undergo required orientation, education, and training by the CRE.
• This scheduled plan can be found attached to the end of this document
• The Orientation Plan for Research Administration staff will be completed starting after the New Employee Orientation has been completed for new hires through the next 4 days and through the first 3 days for employee transfers within Children’s Health.
