WOLFGANG in the half light. MUM comes in, turns on the light.
MUM
(concerned)
What is it?
WOLFGANG
(excited)
I just saw something.
MUM
(concerned)
What do you mean?
WOLFGANG
It flew over the house and then
crashed on the Plain!
MUM
What did? What was it?
WOLFGANG
I don’t know...I don’t know what it
was.
DAVE (O.S.)
Maybe it was a meteorite? GORGEOUS
WOLFGANG turns to see DAVE in the doorway.
He looks back to MUM. But she raises her eyebrows as if to
say ‘well’.
WOLFGANG can’t believe she’s siding with DAVE.
WOLFGANG
(betrayed)
Mum!
Upset and unable to express himself, he rushes past DAVE
without looking at him and runs back upstairs.
DAVE shrugs his shoulders as if to say ‘what did I do?’.
MUM looks embarrassed.
MUM
Sorry. Give me a minute.
