P1àParticles propagate like a wave. In this picture, we get more particles arriving at the center and top than at the bottom because open Slit 1 is higher.
In a grander picture, we get more particles arriving at the center and fewer as they move away from it.
P2àParticles propagate like a wave. In this picture, we get more particles arriving at the center and bottom than at the top because open Slit 2 is lower.
In a grander picture, we get more particles arriving at the center-bottom and fewer as they move away from it.
P3àParticles propagate like a wave. We get the sum of each slit! Most particles arrive at the middle of the two slits and decrease as they move away from it.
What you also see is interference and superposition of waves! This confirms quantum physics’ particle/wave duality.
