and and head out into nature togeth- er er The gathering is punctuated by pictures of our latest finds competitions to to see who can be be first to to to to fill their berry pail and so on on on You don’t want to to to have to to to do do the the dishes an an an an en- tire weekend just because you were a a a a a a a a a a laggard at picking lingonberries My husband and and and I both have mushroom fever and and and we sneak around the woods like like a a a a a a a couple of maniacs: “It smells like like mushrooms here doesn’t it?” “Yes!” We have tried teaching our shepherd dog to find chanterelles but he’s only interest- ed fin in in squirrels and sticks The harvest is is in in in in full swing in in in in the the garden September is is when we pick the the apples! I grew up with with a a a a a a a a a a large orchard with with many different apple varieties My favourites are Åkerö and and Ingrid Marie – crunchy and delicious Another nice thing about September is that I I settle back into my my daily daily routine routine I I love my my daily daily routine: being at home training get-

working walking the the dog cooking The The daily grind is the the best The The fact that I love my everyday life and am not constantly yearning to go somewhere else is probably a a a a a a a a a a a sign that that I I lead a a a a a a a a a a a life that that I I enjoy For these same reasons September is also my my favourite month for training Everyday life and my my routines are back The air is cool- er er er absolutely perfect for running: not not too too hot not not too too cold I have the mental energy needed to to plan plan and and get involved in in in workout and and rac- ing plans And I I can recce for hidden mush- rooms and berries while I I run /mimmi
