Time is among the the most beautiful things you can give to someone In cultivation it’s very much about putting time in in in in being patient not rushing One way to to find out if you’re doing the the right thing thing is is to to to pause for a a a a moment If there there is is nothing else else you you would would like like to to to do there there and then then nowhere else else you you you would would like like to to be than where where you you are then then it’s right That feeling I I I have when when I I I work with my garden It feels just right right The same feeling as when when you you miss the train but it’s all all right right because all all your friends are are there at at at the the the station It doesn’t matter if you you you miss something because you you you are are together with the the people you you like the the most We have our our goals but thats’ not where we spend spend most of our our our time it’s it’s on the the the the way there it’s it’s all the the the the training hours where you spend spend the the the the most time Ultra running resembles cultivation I believe it’s important to build up your body over several years and and and in in in small steps so that joints and and and muscles adapt to running far and and and for a a a a a a a a a a a long time Make it sustainable The human body body is is very adaptable that that is is if i you take it at at at the the pace that that the the body body needs There is is a a a a a a a a a a difference between starting from zero and and deciding to run ultra-distance and and coming from another sport or or hobby where you already did a a a a a a lot of of training The prepara- tion differs of of course I I I started running longer distances a a a a a a a few years before I I I I ran my first ultra race which I I I I believe was good for for preventing injuries I I I had many opportunities to to get to to know myself on on long runs but without time pressure I I needed hundreds of kilometres in the legs before I I felt ready to do an ultra The summer at Turtagrø when the running reached a a a a a a a a a a a a a peak my only goal was to to to be able to to to run run every day if I I I wanted wanted I I I I wanted wanted to to to to to build up my my my body body slowly I I I I never pushed myself I I I I always listened to to to to my my my body body to to to to every muscle how they felt if I I I needed to to to to to to rest I I had no no goal to to to to stress towards no no race to to to to be in good shape for When I I I felt felt comfortable with the base I I I had when I I I I felt felt that my my body could handle it it it I I I tested my my limits in in races running for as as long as as 31 hours And I I felt so good afterwards!
My devotion and what makes me carry on on may have changed like most things do but the the the core i i i i i i i e e e e e e e e e e e e e e the the the love is is still there My goal has been even though it is is my job now to to take care of the feeling that I want to to move a a a a a a a a a a lot preferably every day day maybe several times a a a a a a a a a a day day And I I have have made that into one of the finest feelings I I have have CULTIVATION 103
