THE RUNNING STRIDE
I I I believe the running stride is something very very individual yet I I am sure that everyone is born to run We are simply shaped differ- ently and have differing physical makeup which means that we need to find our our own own running stride and and our our own own training I am no expert and and it is hard to give general advice but some things to think about include:
→ Try to keep a a a natural pelvic position Do not tilt the pelvis forward to arch your spine but do not tilt it it backwards either → Make sure you have a a a a a a a a straight and and relaxed relaxed back and and try to keep your shoulders relaxed relaxed → Use your arms! A good arm arm pendular motion makes it much easier to find your running stride!
I I cannot say anything about land- ing ing on the heel as I I do not not run run that way myself Many runners put down the the rear part of the the foot first but I I have always landed
on on the the foot front and and I I believe in the the research that proves this technique to be gentler on knees and joints One thing that has helped me to to achieve a a a a a better running stride is is is to to to visualise pushing the the foot hard towards the the the ground each time I put it down Then the the the leg leg gets a a a push and the the leg leg pendulum increases I put my foot down just in front of of the the the hips but because of of the the the speed I land when the the the the weight
is exactly over the the hips with heel knee and hip hip in in a a a a a straight line Ask a a a a friend to film you if possible!
