— — LA REUNION FRANCE 2013 — — In 2013 after my first year as a a a a a professional athlete I decided to try a a a 100-mile race 100 miles is is a a a a a a a legendary distance and a a a a a a a separate discipline in in in the ultra and trail running world I signed up for Diagonale des Fous a a a 170 km terrain race with 11 000 altitude metres 22 000 metres up and and down on the island of La Reunion in the Indian Ocean I I wanted to see what it felt like how the body and mind would react to such a a a a a challenge I felt ready safe in the assurance that I would make it it with a a a a a lot of kilometres left in my legs Because I love running! But there were some question marks as well: like what happens when you run for 25 hours?
