    198. TRUE DAFFYS ELIXIR BOTTLE. 4.9ins tall. A very subtle light green glass Daffy, darker where glass is thick. Rectangular cross section, bevelled corners. Embossed TRUE/ DAFFY`S/ ELIXIR to front and back - nothing on the thin side panels. Cross hinge base lines with kick up and smoothed pontil. Delightful delicate lip. This bottle has lain in a garden for many years after being purchased for peanuts at a Car Boot Fair. Do not underestimate the significance of this extremely early & important 1770-80 example. After its life it is in amazingly exc/A1 condition. 9.9/10.NR £2,000-3,000+
