An extraordinary almost rectangular late 17th c. English blsck glass onion wine bottle
- great character. Triangular shaped string rim below the slightly flared lip, old side
flake. Various base labels (inc. a David Walker Barker
hand written one) explaining recovered from the river
Dee Nr Chester. Base kick up, pontilled. Just a great
characterful piece. NR. £300-400+

ENGLISH MALLET WINE BOTTLE. 8.5ins tall.Glorious long necked English black glass form c. 1735 - 45 with full body sheen, many in manufacture imperfections, seed bubbles. Round edged wide string rim, inside rim rough - tiny decorking nibbles possibly? Overall crudely shaped.Deep kick up with a rough base pontil. Various base labels main one hand written
by David Walker Barker recording recovered from
the river Dee, Nr Chester. About as good as they get

209. ENGLISH SPLIT SIZE MALLET BOTTLE. 6.6ins tall. Dark green/
 black glass form, much misshapen. Long neck, inner stretched bubble burst, delicate thin lip with some roughness/
decorking nicks with fine pointed string rim. A rare split size early form with
overall dull surface/ wear but so much
again embodying great
character. Deep kick
up, pontilled, some
irridescence. Very rare.
