tall, all tan (browny tan hue), std, cork blob lip. Pict. of steam train & tender. Quite different to the usual example of this Cheshire town stonie - a different pottery maker & an unusual glaze colour. Having lived and dug in this area, from my early years of collecting, I never came across one quite like this? No pottery mark, quite crude. Some rust to rear - easily cleanable? NR. £20-30+
186. MORRISTON & ABERDARE GINGER BEER BOTTLE. 8.2ins tall. Ch., t.t. - top half deep blue, blob screw top. Very busy, sharply printed, transfer - with the adage below the bubbling glass of pop LIKE GRAND MOTHER/ USED TO MAKE/ BUT BETTER. Often these have slightly flawed transfers - this is an absolutely fabulous example, an all time South Walian classic pictorial. 9.5/10. NR. £120-150+
