glass, rectangular cross section, bevelled corners. Really heavily embossed lettering TRUE/ DAFFYS/ ELIXIR to front, DICEY/ & CO/ NO 10 BOW/ CHURCH/ YARD/ LONDON to rear. Side panels read See that/ the words/ DICEY & CO/ are printed/ in the STAMP. Cross hinge base, pontil. Numerous David Walker Barker Collection stickers. Epitome of Daves discerning gathering remit - Exc/ A1. 9.5/10 NR. £1,200-1,500+
69. DAFFYS ELIXIR BOTTLE. 4.6ins tall. Good aqua glass, very characterful finish, neck striations, little piece of slab to wall with amber looking strip? Classic rectangular cross section, bevelled corners. Different panel embossing to the norm, all lettering heavy: TRUE/ DAFFYS/ ELIXIR to front, DICEY/ & CO/ NO 10 BOW/ CHURCH/ YARD/ LONDON to rear. One set of the three smaller side panels reads: Unless the Name/ of DICEY & CO/ is in the Stamp and to the other smaller three: over the Cork/ the Medicine is/ Counterfeit. Cross hinge base & pontil. Needs a little clean internally but generally a good example of an early Daffys. 9.3/10. NR. £300-£400+
70. EARLY BLUE & WHITE CERAMIC EYE BATH. 2ins tall. Fine hand painted blue
& white design on an early pedestal style eye bath. Full body & base well covered, blue line around inside of rim. Couple of rusted hairlines one edge - probably easy to bleach out? Blue base mark. These are rarely seen for sale.
