137. SOUTHWELL SLAB SEALED FLASK. 7.1ins tall. Small rectangular bodied, ribbed neck, grey green slip glazed flask (very shiny), double collar lip. Vertical pie crust seal impressed W. TURTLE/ EDWINSTOWE. Several rear hairlines - perfectly stable, to bleach out or not? 9.5/10. NR. £250- 300+

135. OLLERTON SLAB SEALED FLASK. 10.9ins
tall. Delightful grey green slip glazed lozenge shape flask, thick blob lip. Horizontal pie crust slab impressed W J GREGORY/ OLLERTON, very crisply struck. Believed the only recorded example in an equally rare large size. Exc/ A1. 9.8/10. NR. £500-600+
138. ACCRINGTON SLAB SEALED GINGER BEER. 7ins tall. Very crude hand thrown stoneware ginger beer shape, blob, cork, lip. Crisply &
well struck large cut out slab (fills over half the body), with a deep,
well modelled acorn & leaves t.m. Within outer border impressed HENRY PARKER/ ACCRINGTON, TRADE MARK each side. Only the second complete example recorded. Extremely crudely made, firing flaws galore, all the characteristics we love about such early items. Better condition than the other? NR. 9/10. £800-1200+
