  290. GAELIC OLD SMUGGLER WHISKY ASHTRAY. 5.3ins diam. Sandy pverall glaze colour with black transfer to outer edge & centre. Doulton rear transfer. Some crazing, but quite a rare, undamaged, piece. (9/10)
291. OLD ORKNEY REAL LIQUER SCOTCH WHISKY ASHTRAY. 4.8ins diam. Transfer around outer edge and to centre with two distinctive black O letters. Quite minor rear wear, overall exc. Made in England rear transfer. Another rare offering. (9/10)
   The Bass Brewery was founded in 1777 by William Bass in Burton-upon- Trent, Staffordshire, England.
Their main brand was Bass Pale Ale, once the largest selling beer in the UK. By 1877 Bass had become the largest brewery in the world, with an annual output of one million barrels. Their distinctive red triangle was the first ever UK registered trade mark.
293. BASS COASTER. 4.9ins diam. Raised dark green outer rim repeating 3 times BASS/ IN BOTTLE. Centre carries the familiar brew lettering & strong read triangle t.m. Minton base transfers. Absolutely superb, exc/ A1. A very rare Bass item - as good as they get! (10/10)
