302. LUPINSKY & LOCKYER CELEBRATED CIGARETTES ADVERTISING CABINET. 21.5 X 37.5.
 Lupinsky & Lockyer partnership began in 1882 at, 24, Stamford St, SE became Richard Lockyer & Co in 1900
and moved to 12-14, Bath St, EC & 13, Bunhill Row EC. Over the years moved to several other addreses.
Richard Lockyer died in 1921 and the firm became Lockyer & Co, Ltd. It was probably
the only firm to continue to sell cigarettes by weight up to the early 60s. Records show
that the brand names on the cabinet were first introduced in 1898. Other popular brands of this company were “Palm Brand” - “Red Cross” - “White Czar” & “Windsor Castle to name but a few. Nice cabinet and quite a rare item. Wooden plinth to bottom worn. 9/10
