to sides - one of hounds attacking a stag, the other a boar. Hand inscribed to front Frank
Bibby. Doulton base marks & signature. Never seen
another - a really superb piece.

33. SILENUS & BACCHUS RELIEF MOULDED JUG. 3.3ins tall. Mid brown salt glaze jug, rear handle, flared foot. C. 1850-60. Deep moulded figures to both sides. This the smallest, scarcest, of the classic jug set. Crude manufacture, no damages. 9/10 £40-50+

side sprigs plus
a distinctive pie
crust slab to front, lettering infilled
with manganese oxide. Unsure how this would work as a filter? Never seen another. Crude manufacture, no real damages. 9/10 £120- 150+
