rare familiar elephant logo for this famous Maidstone
brewery company (established in 1861, but declined, finally
purchased by Whitbread in 1967). Visible gold leaf

277. PASSING SHOW ENAMEL SIGN. 21 x 34.7ins. Wonderful, detailed, top hatted gent happily smoking, plus stylish lettering & pictorial image of circular tin of the product! Great overall sheen, minor rust/ flakes at top left. NR.
