 8.1ins tall. Standard c. 1650 period shape with
flared foot, bulbous body, offset/ tilting neck, rear
(restored) handle. Very varied orange peel salt glaze effect. Detailed neck face motif, belly cartouche below. Base wire cut lines. Apart
from the restoration this is an absolutely delightful
looking example with plenty of character.

 97. BRAMPTON SALT GLAZE COFFEE POT. 8ins tall. Amazing highly variated salt glaze effect (dark one side, light to other)on a classic footed shape, bulbous middle, shapely spout and handle. Wonderful detailed pheasant sprig one side, fox to other, sprigs around neck (reglued section)/
lid etc. Quality
Brampton piece?

SLAB SEALED SPIRIT FLASK. 6.6ins tall. Chesterfield style, c. 1860, grey-green slip glaze flask - never seen an example so varied in colour, through to very dark brown in places? Flattened rectangular body, rectangular base/ facetted corners. Cut out pie crust sprig to front W TURNER/ WINE & SPIRIT VAULT/ STOCKPORT. Superb, no damages. 9.5/10. NR. £250-300+
100. BACCHUS STYLE SATYR JUG. 5.5ins tall. A truly exceptional two handled Brampton piece in the most wondrous shiny, highly variating, salt glaze. Detailed face both sides, impressed chin & head hair, top section with leaves/ vines etc. One handle reglued - displays superbly though - simply exudes quality! 8/10. NR. £60-80+
