126. ENGLISH FLAT SIDED ONION. 6ins tall, black glass, deep kick up with base pontil. Another very special early piece with wonderful provenance! Almost half the bottle covered in very colourful, attractive, iridescence. David Walker Barker records the age as c. 1700 - European - possibly German Origin, ex Wooliscroft Collection. A very rare form which simply oozes that all essential character. 8/10. NR. 800-1,200+
