Good sheen, some minor marks/
wear & internal residue. Very fine

BOTTLE. 10.5ins tall. Black/ dark
green glass, double collar lip, elegant
long/ crude neck, base kick up & pontil.
Mid body seal, well struck W A. (see
Burton p1045). Attributed to William
Assheton Snr, 1758-1833, or his
son 1788-1858, from Downham Hall,
Clitheroe, Lancashire. In manufacture
glass flaws, most full glass sheen,

655. ENGLISH 1814 DATED SEALED
WINE BOTTLE. 10.9ins tall. Black/
dark green glass, double collar lip -
chunky/ super crude. Mid body seal,
really well struck: W V/ 1814 (Burton
p843, not pictured. An example sold
at Sothebys in 1968 for £25). Base
kick up with extremely rough/ sharp
pontil. Some internal residue, full body
sheen. Exc/ A1. 9.5/10. NR. £150-

653. ENGLISH SEALED CYLINDER WINE
BOTTLE. 10ins to top of cork. Black/ dark
green glass. An exceptional split size
bottle, crude double collar lip, fantastic
neck striations & overall crudeness, base
kick up, sharp pontil. Full sheen, couple
minor in manufacture burst air bubbles
adds to character. Applied seal below
shoulder V with a delightful extra string/
ribbon of glass above. unlisted in Burton.

Road show & comes complete with
valuation certificate. Fabulous character.

657. HALF SIZE NOLET SCHIEDAM
CASE GIN 7.75ins tall. Crude and
attractive half size black glass
case gin embossed I. A. I. NOLET/
SCHIEDAM to one panel, X embossed
to base. Really crudely made, thick,
heavy glass. Slight dullness & one edge
chip, plenty of character. 8.5/10. NR.
