salt glaze puzzle jug, typical (well modelled) lower
sprigs. Carefully cut out design in top two thirds -

rim hairline does not really detract - a wonderful

dark brown salt glaze puzzle jug with some very
fine pierced decoration. Never seen one with a
pouring lip before? Probable early - circa 1820
