whisky jug. Familiar greeny blue main glaze elaborately covered with sprig
like off white ornamentation. Main lettering within set on a textured mid brown
salt glaze circular section - raised trade mark of dark brown crosses & circles
above splayed
dark green thistle
sprigging. NR.

7.9ins tall. T.t., upper dark
brown, lower mid brown salt
glaze. Wheel decoration to
lip (thin old sliver) & shoulder
section. Plethora of sprigs,
both large & small cover
all the lower mallet area -
largest is a coat of arms
with standing lion & unicorn.
All other sprigs typically
windmill, trees,
beehive in foliage,
drinks, masons
symbols etc.
Great character,
crude
manufacture,
uneven body
