138. BRAMPTON SEA SERPENT SAUCE BOAT. 5ins tall, 6.2ins
wide. A highly appealing & attractive sea serpent shaped jug,
swathed tail forming the handle. Variating salt glaze, very
typical Brampton warm colours. Much detailing, scales
etc, the open mouth (a hint of a wry smile?) forming the
spout. Set atop a flared plinth (in manufacture firing flaw).
Two pin head underside nicks otherwise exc/A1. 9.5/10.
