2022 Virtual
Huge
And together we were, just not in-person. The safety of our members is
paramount, and the CGSA and OGSA’s decision to pivot to a virtual event was the best option during the pandemic and provided for an enhanced education program and attracted more delegates than the in-person event. Almost 90% of respondents indicated their priorities were met within the virtual platform, although the majority of delegates are looking forward to resuming in-person conferences.
IMPRESSIVE ATTENDANCE NUMBERS
Both delegates and exhibitors attended the virtual Canadian this year and shared favourable responses. We saw an increase in delegates by 28% from last year’s virtual event. Delegates agree that the education program was outstanding and offered continuing education credits, along with the opportunity to learn about industry trends and gain inspiration. They were not disappointed!
OUTSTANDING EDUCATION PROGRAM
The Canadian was able to attract an enhanced line-up of speakers and the results were reflected in the program. Thanks to the Exclusive Education Sponsor, Syngenta, delegates enjoyed the opening keynote presented by
Bruce Mayhew who discussed Communicating with Empathy and Bob Weeks, renowned golf reporter closed the conference with his talk on Tour Life – The Players, Courses and Adventures of 30 Years Covering Golf.
Concurrent sessions over 3 days provided delegates with several options. Education sessions included: Designing for Less; Recent Finding With Dollar Spot Disease; Lithium vs. Acid Batteries; Plant-parasitic Nematodes; Taking the Reins – Transitioning from Assistant to Superintendent and from Superintendent to General Manager; GPS Sprayers and Application Technology; Equity, Diversity and Inclusion; The Dirt on Soils; Fungicide
